Ozoni - Japanese Traditional New Year Mochi Soup

The dish is strongly associated with the Japanese New Year and its tradition of osechi ceremonial foods. Zōni is considered the most auspicious of the dishes eaten on New Year's Day.

JASCO/OSU IJS Online Event: Rakugo with Yanagiya Tōzaburō

Come and join us for an evening of exposure to one of Japan’s classical forms of entertainment.

Baking Class!

This time we are going to make a delicious, light & puffy 'Mushi-Pan' (蒸しパン),

But its not a simple Mushi-Pan!

Misato has tweaked the recipe a bit for us to get a special version of this steamed cake which is sticky and even more fluffy.

And the Good news is: you don't need an Oven to bake it :)
