Benjamin Pachter
Executive Director
Benjamin Pachter joined JASCO in 2017. His connection to Japan began during his post-graduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh, where he studied Japanese language and culture while pursuing an ethnomusicology doctorate. He wrote his dissertation on the musical history of contemporary taiko performance in Japan and the United States. Ben is also a performer of taiko. Currently, he serves as Assistant Director of Dublin Taiko in Dublin, OH, the largest K-12 taiko organization in North America, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Taiko Community Alliance.
Yuko Rader
Director of Programming
Yuko was born and raised in Osaka, Japan. She graduated from Brigham Young University-Hawaii, a very diverse school which provided a great opportunity to get to know people from many different cultures and backgrounds. She wants to apply this experience to her work here in Ohio and help the American and Japanese communities come closer together.
Lauren Sadataki
Summer Intern
Lauren is a senior studying Arts Management and Business at The Ohio State University. She is an active member of the Japanese Student Organization, which promotes Japanese culture to the general student body through multiple events. While interning, she wants to gain a greater understanding of the interworkings of nonprofit organizations and to learn more about the Japanese and American communities throughout Ohio.
